Aldi is set to hire 3,500 new store colleagues in preparation for the busy Christmas season, offering a range of permanent roles to support its growing customer base. The recruitment drive aims to fill positions across the country, ensuring shelves are stocked, customers are assisted, and high service standards are maintained during the festive period.

Variety of Roles Available

The available roles include Store Assistants, cleaners, and managerial positions, offering job seekers an opportunity to join one of the UK's leading supermarkets. Aldi is particularly known for offering competitive pay, with Store Assistants earning £12.40 per hour nationally and £13.65 per hour within the M25. Additionally, Aldi is the only UK supermarket that provides paid breaks, a benefit worth over £900 per year for the average store employee.

Commitment to Colleague Wellbeing

Kelly Stokes, Recruitment Director at Aldi UK, highlighted the importance of the company’s workforce: “Our mission is to make affordable, high-quality food accessible to everyone, and that is even more important at this time of year. Our colleagues are essential to ensuring Aldi shoppers have a great experience in store.”

As a gesture of appreciation, Aldi will once again close its stores on Boxing Day, giving staff a well-deserved break after the festive rush. The supermarket continues to prioritise the welfare of its employees while maintaining its commitment to providing top-quality service to customers.
