Tiffin Sandwiches has revealed plans to open a new 50,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Bradford, a move expected to create 400 jobs. The company has submitted a planning application for the new factory and office space near the M606, representing a significant investment of £8m to £10m.
The company's operations manager, Luke Tetley, expressed enthusiasm about the project, saying, “We are very excited by the opportunity to build a brand new bespoke factory at our Bradford site.” He added that the new facility would provide much-needed jobs and further contribute to the local economy.
As one of the UK's largest independent food-to-go manufacturers, Tiffin Sandwiches serves over 2,000 clients, including businesses, universities, and schools across the country.
Sustainability and Future Growth
The new site, which is currently used as a lorry park, will consolidate the company’s existing operations, bringing its two rented locations together. The planning application also includes provisions for solar panels and renewable energy, reflecting the company’s commitment to sustainability.
Tiffin Sandwiches takes pride in its Bradford roots, with Tetley noting, “We hope to continue having a positive impact on the Bradford economy.”
A decision on the planning application is expected by the end of the year.
