Manchester Airport is set to host a major recruitment event next month, offering over 1,000 job opportunities across various sectors. The jobs fair, scheduled for Thursday, 7th November, will showcase a wide range of roles in aviation, retail, hospitality, and construction.
Among the positions available, around 250 will be with Manchester Airports Group (MAG), the owner and operator of Manchester Airport, as well as East Midlands and London Stansted Airports. Attendees will have the chance to speak directly with MAG representatives and learn about career opportunities within the organisation.
In addition to MAG, several other employers from the aviation industry will be recruiting at the event. Jet2.com, Dnata, and Up & Away Aviation will all be present, offering various roles related to airline and aviation services. Those interested in retail can explore vacancies with operators such as Pret a Manger, JD Sports, and World Duty Free, while hotel groups including Doubletree Hilton and Holiday Inn/Ibis/Tribe Hotels will also be hiring.
Construction and training opportunities
Companies involved in Manchester Airport’s £1.3 billion transformation programme, such as MACE and NG Bailey, will be looking to fill construction-related roles. Meanwhile, the Airport Academy, run in partnership with Trafford College, will promote its free pre-employment support programmes, offering fully accredited training to jobseekers needing additional support before applying.
Support for jobseekers
The charity Smartworks will also be attending the fair, promoting its 'fashion as a force for good' campaign. The initiative provides suits and formal attire to women from disadvantaged backgrounds, helping them prepare for job interviews.
